PJLA celebrated it’s VALENTINES PARTY (FEB 12, 2016)

The Philippine-Japan Ladies Association celebrated its Valentines Party last February 12, 2016 at Amb. Jose S. Laurel . All the ladies came in red attire.

They also celebrated the birthdays of February and March Celebrants: Mrs. Bernadette A. Sanvictores (February 2), Mrs. Susana L. Delgado (February 6), Mrs. Lourdes M. Abaquin (February l0), Mrs. Celine L. Castillo (February 20), Mrs. Haruko Murakami (February 20), Mrs. Victoria A. Aoki (March 4), Mrs. Atsuko Kikuchi (March 12), Mrs. Rowena J. Matti (14), and Mrs. Maribel C. Sanvictores (March 17).

Before the merienda started, they had a Water Purifier “Amway” Demonstration by Mr. Yusuke Nakaguchi and Mrs. Masako, eSpring Owner.

 


PJLA Shinnenkai (New Year’s) Party (Jan 8, 2016)

The Philippine-Japan Ladies celebrated its Shinnenkai (New Year’s) Party last January 8, 2016 at PJS Friendship Hall together with special participation of La Mer Chorale group who serenaded the PJLA members. It is noteworthy to mention that some PJLA members are also member of La Mer chorale group.

They also celebrated the PJLA January Birthday Celebrants: Mrs. Ma. Elena L. Loinaz (January 12), Mrs. Susan P. Macuja (January 12) and Mrs. Joy Virata (January 18).

What made this year’s unique and special is that the PJFF office staff rendered an intermission numbers for the program: Ms. Shine, Accounting Staff, dance “Sumayaw Sumunod by VST and Co.”; Ms. Jing, NCF Staff, sang a Japanese Song “Inori by Lena Park” and Mr. Nilo, PJFF Staff sang the “Bakit Sa’yo Pa? by Roel Cortez”, Ms. Janella played the piano which was enjoyed by all the ladies. It was a day of fun and singing.


PJLA Celebrates 40th Anniversary (Aug 22, 2015)

The Philippines-Japan Ladies Association (PJLA) celebrated its 40th Anniversary on August 22, 2015 with a Dinner Reception held at the Manila Golf & Country ClubHarvard Road, Forbes Park, Makati City. Three members were conferred Merit Awards in recognition of their invaluable contributions to PJLA through the years. These were: Mrs. Haruko Murakami, Mrs. Herminia L. Alcasid, and Mrs. Josefina B. Sanvictores.

 PJLA President Mrs. Marilen Laurel-Loinaz welcomed the 90 guests who attended the affair. Madame Yuko Ishikawa, lady of Japanese Ambassador Kazuhide Ishikawa also congratulated PJLA for this important milestone.

Before the awarding ceremonies, the guests were regaled by highly acclaimed artist-singers, namely: Aisaku Yokogawa – a popular Japanese entertainer who grew up in the Philippines and is thus trilingual (Nihongo, English and Tagalog); and Ms. Gerphil Geraldine Flores (recently won 3rd place in Asia’s Got Talentcompetition).  The highlight of the program however was the master entertainer-singer-composer, Mr. Ogie Alcasid (son of the awardee) and his wife Ms. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid (known as Asia’s Songbird), for their beautiful and very entertaining numbers.

Mdme. Yuko Ishikawa hosts luncheon for PJLA (July 7, 2015)

Madame Yuko Ishikawa, the wife of Japanese Ambassador Kazuhide Ishikawa hosted a Luncheon for the Board of Trustees and Advisers of the Philippines-Japanese Ladies Association (PJLA). It was held at the Ambassador’s Residence in Forbes Park on July 3, 2015.
