THE PHILIPPINES-JAPAN FRIENDSHIP FOUNDATION, INC.

The Philippines-Japan Friendship Foundation, Inc. (PJFF) is a non-stock, non-profit foundation established in 1974 to promote friendship, amity and fraternity between Filipinos and Japanese. Utilizing a grant of One Million US Dollars bequeathed by the Government of Japan in gratitude for the safe recovery, passage and pardon of Lt. Hiroo Onoda (the Japanese army intelligence officer who held out in Lubang Island for 30 years after the end of the war), the PJFF has built, preserved and judiciously managed its asset portfolio which enables the extension of financial assistance to various organizations affiliated with the Philippines-Japan Society, while lending administrative and secretariat support for their activities and operations.
