RECOGNITIONS
On July 23, 2006 on the occasion of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Day in Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between Japan and the Philippines, PHILFEJA received a Testimonial Award Certificate from Foreign Minister Taro Aso for
“having contributed invaluably by organizing Japan alumni and trainees society in the Philippines and by expanding and strengthening pro-Japanese groups in local community for many years, having contributed significantly to advancing the Japan study and having promoted understanding Japan through its assistance for overseas education and research.”
In July 19, 2006, Director Hiroko Taniguchi of the Japan Information and Cultural Center of the Embassy of Japan wrote in her message on the 30th Foundation Anniversary of PHILFEJA:
“… for three decades of fruitful labour of enhancing cooperation between the Filipino and Japanese peoples in variety of fields all over the country and always being very supportive of the endeavours of the Embassy especially the JICC in promoting mutual understanding between our two peoples, PHILFEJA stands as one of the most dynamic organizations that make our bilateral relations better than ever before.”
